Through The Matsyadhamma Yatra—a crowdfunded journey—WASI documented the locations, ecology, community participation, and hydrology of Karnataka’s fish sanctuaries. Karnataka is home to 22 fish sanctuaries, of which 11 are officially recognized under the Karnataka Inland Fisheries (conservation, development and regulation) Act.
